About the program
What is it?
Surf ’s cool! is a concept inspired by surfers and parents. We love to surf and teach our kids about surfing and the ocean, about the dangers of the sea and the fun you can have if you know how to handle the waves and currents. The kids are educated about the ocean and the environment, the hazards of the ocean and at the same time have a lot of fun learning how to surf.
Who is it for?
Kids between the age of 7 and 14 are welcome to join our programs. They must have a Dutch swimming diploma level B or the international equivalent. We mix the groups boys and girls and support all skill levels. Because we have experienced instructors we teach beginners to experienced surfers.
Kids from Het Volle Leven and Nutsschool Zorgvliet already completed their first surfing program and many of them have continued surfing!
Why Surf’s Cool!
Surf ’s Cool picks up the kids from school and therefore takes away the logistic troubles of bringing your kids to the beach or a sportclub. We offer more than an introduction to surfing, our program reaches beyond the basics and focusses on teaching per individual. Our mobility gives us an edge compared to other surf schools since we can surf wherever the waves are good!
Who do we work with?
We use different suppliers for our materials, so that we can respond to all skill levels. Beginners will surf on O’Neill soft-top surfboards, then progress to catch-surf soft-tops and eventually use hard-top surfboards when they are more experienced.
What's included?
We offer a comprehensive surfing program filled with fun and education, a superb alternative to regular after school clubs. Swimming skills required.
8 weeks / 8 lessons
8 active surf lessons in which your child becomes skilled in surfing. Some kids will learn quicker, the program will be adjusted accordingly.
Competition day
Your son or daughter will get the chance to proudly show of his/her skills. Parents are invited on a specified day.
Diploma
After the course you child will have basic or advanced surfing skills. Everybody gets a diploma!
Ocean awareness training
During the lessons we pay special attention to safety and respect for the sea. All children will be able to assess the ocean in different ways
Experienced instructors
All our instructors are extremely experienced surfers and qualified instructors. They also know the everything about the waves ;-)
All surf materials
All necessary materials are included: Surfboard, wetsuits, gloves & hats is necessary.
Healthy snack & drinks
Each lesson we provide your child with a healthy snack & drink.
