Before you can get started with a surfboard, you need to know what your favorite position is. Surfing is done just like skateboarding and snowboarding, with one foot in front of the other. If you stand with your left foot in front, you are regular, like the wolrds most famous surfer, Kelly Slater.
If you prefer your right foot in front, you are goofy like Gabriel Medinna, the 2018 world champion
There is a simple and efficient way to find out what your favorite stance is. Stand with 2 feet together with your eyes closed and ask someone to give you a light push. You will automatically get out with your front foot!
